President, Gerald R. Kolb, JD
With careers in law and investment real estate, Gerald R. Kolb was recruited into healthcare at the senior management level in 1993 to bring a business perspective to healthcare. By 1994 he was the interim chief administrative officer of Aspen Valley Hospital, serving in that position for nine months, before returning to Denver to help form a captivated breast care enterprise. Following that venture, Kolb consulted in the development of over 50 breast centers, and to eight breast-specific device companies. He followed this experience as chief knowledge officer of Solis Women's Health, a national breast imaging system headquartered in Austin, TX with over 25 sites across the nation. In 2010 Kolb began consulting to Volpara Solutions, Ltd., the developer of objective and automated volumetric breast density evaluation. He continues to provide research and market advice to the company. One of Kolb's proudest accomplishments is his educational efforts in breast health. He is a prolific writer, with over 50 published articles, and also has provided more than 50 invited presentations, most of which have been to national meetings.
